Schedule: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 8:30-5

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Donor Relations and Operations Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Development and Volunteer Engagement and is responsible for coordinating efforts and outcomes related to donor recognition and retention, Foundation communications, moves management, and internal foundation operations. He/she oversees the implementation of the Foundation’s stewardship plan by personalizing stewardship efforts for the Foundation to include letters, special events, personal calls to donors and naming opportunities. In collaboration with the Director of Development and Volunteer Engagement, responsibilities include assisting with meeting annual fund and event-related fundraising goals; managing volunteers, and maintaining sophisticated policies and procedures for operations. This position plays a vital role in donor retention, broadening the base of support, and internal and external communication of the Foundation’s impact. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in communications, business, accounting, database management or a related discipline is required. 
  • Experience in communications, development, marketing, business sales and/or recruiting is preferred. 
  • Computer experience required including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint). 
  • Knowledge of mail merges and database management. 
  • Demonstrated success in creation of print and digital marketing, individual giving, special events and management is preferred. 
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate, improve and create departmental systems in order to manage processes and procedures is required. 
  • Must be able to prioritize duties and work autonomously with minimal supervision, well organized and efficient. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and independent judgment required. High energy level, pleasant and self-assured personality traits, and excellent customer service skills required. 
  • A positive attitude and ability to build positive relationships with volunteers and donors are essential. 
  • Must be able to communicate articulately in both written and verbal forms. 

WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION 

Physical demands include, but are not limited to periods of standing and walking, both inside and outside the hospital, occasional deliveries throughout the facility and occasional lifting of materials. Working conditions may not provide outside light, and temperature is kept at a medium level.
