POSITION SUMMARY
The Network Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing network cabling, LCDs, computer workstations, and other IT equipment within a healthcare environment. The incumbent works with the Lead Network Administrator and Lead LAN Technician to ensure that cabling infrastructure and equipment installations support the facility’s communication, network, and productivity needs. The ideal candidate will have experience with cabling installations, maintenance, equipment repairs, and a solid understanding of networking concepts and the following:

Business setting, indoors with possibility of irregular hours and/or call back, moderate to heavy stress on a continued basis. Required to work flexible schedule in order to accommodate on-call and other responsibilities including accessing systems from out of campus to analyze/resolve system problems/halts. Required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays on occasions during conversions of software/operating systems, or installation of enhancements/hardware, or meeting deadlines on programming needs. Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity, eye and hand coordination. Requires corrected vision to acceptable range. Considerable sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and lifting (in excess of 50 pounds). Extreme mental effort required with ability to assess and make decisions in abbreviated time frames.
