POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Epic Revenue Integrity Analyst manages the day-to-day activities of SGMC’s EPIC EMR revenue analysts and clinical analysts as part of the Revenue Cycle operations. Reporting directly to the Epic Applications Manager, the Senior Analyst collaborates across departments to provide knowledge and strategic alignment of revenue cycle operations by generating and tracking quantitative and qualitative reporting and analysis. This position requires analytical capabilities and high-level knowledge of processes that support project management in various areas. The job functions in a facilitative role to prioritize and complete assignments that often have competing and conflicting objectives, timeframes, and resources. The Senior Analyst functions as the primary liaison between Revenue Cycle reports and analysts for internal and external customers. This includes ownership of the release management process (such as insurance and EMR vendor updates having direct impact on Revenue Cycle and Revenue Integrity support), communication, and alignment with other EMR users (clinical and operations, and coordination with our IT departments. Facilitates multidisciplinary communication and teamwork to assure optimal outcomes in the provision of quality health care, and to ensure Epic EHR has quality build in place that facilitates the PB/HB Revenue Cycle. The Senior Analyst entails hand-on analytical work and report writing, build and maintenance of the PB/HB Epic application. Ensures contracts are up to date, regulations are in place for CPT and charge master files.
Education
Business setting, indoors with possibility of irregular hours and/or call back, moderate to heavy stress on a continued basis. Required to work flexible schedule to accommodate on-call and other responsibility including accessing system from out-of-campus to analyze/resolve system problem/halts. Required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays on occasions during conversion of software/operating system, or installation of enhancements/hardware, or to meet deadlines. Require full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity, eye and hand coordination. Requires standing, walking, and sitting for periods of time. Requires corrected vision to acceptable range. Requires lifting of at least 50 pounds, transporting and installing computer equipment.
