POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Analyst/Principal Trainer will assist in the development, support and functionality of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and supporting IT systems. The Clinical Analyst/Principal Trainer will assist in optimizing workflow processes through building applications that are tailored to meet SGMC’s needs. The Clinical Analyst/Principal Trainer will learn the EHR system’s capabilities and functional use and apply their knowledge of Patient Care and business workflows to assist in the ongoing maintenance and development of a system that meets process needs. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  •  Epic certification or proficiency required within 3 months. 
  • Two (2) years of experience supporting clinical applications preferred. 
  • Two (2) years of experience in a training/education role preferred. 
  • Clinical experience required. 
  • Ability to develop, document and ensure adherence to technical standards. 
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to manage one’s own work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. 
  • Able to maintain professionalism and react to customers appropriately while exhibiting the highest level of customer service. WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION 

Business setting, indoors with possibility of irregular hours and/or call back, moderate to heavy stress on a continued basis. 

Duties require: • Required to work flexible schedule in order to accommodate on-call and other responsibility including accessing system from out-of-campus to analyze/resolve system problem/halts. • Required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays on occasions during conversion of software/operating system, or installation of enhancements/hardware, or to meet deadlines. • Require full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity, eye and hand coordination. • Requires standing, walking, and sitting for periods of time. • Requires corrected vision to acceptable range. • Requires lifting, approximately 50 pounds, transporting and installing computer equipment. • Must have valid driver’s license. • Possible exposure to blood and body fluids, including infectious diseases.
