POSITION SUMMARY 

The Epic Clinical Team Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the Revenue and access Applications team’s scope of responsibility within the Epic Electronic Health Record system. This includes system development, upgrades and updates, system design and usability, integration points, patient experience, ensuring regulatory compliance. Epic Clinical Team Manager will also be responsible for the Gold Star and Honor Roll status from Epic, ensuring goals are being met across the Revenue and Access applications teams. Working with operational areas, managers will be developing the budget for implementation of Epic software and third-party integration software, ensuring we have accurate quotes and build into our budget approval process. Revenue and Access Managers will run projects, with PMO oversight, to include downtimes, new implementations for clinic and software, upgrades and others as assigned. Managers are responsible for escalation that comes from the teams and operations areas, and to develop plans to prioritize and ensure operational needs are met. Managers will follow up on critical and high priority Sherlocks to ensure engagement from SGMC and Epic and a timely resolution is reached. Interviewing, hiring, disciplinary, evaluation and employee development will also be a part of the manager’s responsibility. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or Healthcare related field, or equivalent related experience note below. 
  • Epic Certification. 
  • 5 years of relevant experience required with information technology and Electronic Health Record build with no degree. 
  • 3 years of relevant experience required with information technology and Electronic Health Record build with associate degree. 
  • 2 years of relevant experience required with information technology and Electronic Health Record build with a bachelor’s degree. 
  • One of the follow certifications: CAHIMS, CPHIMS or PMP secured within six months of employment if not currently held. 
  • Ability to manage multiple complex simultaneous projects, operational enhancements, break-fix, and maintenance requests. 
  • Excellent communication skills - specifically how to distill issues, manage client expectations, act as a trusted advisor and communicate in a timely manner under pressure. 
  • Excellent knowledge of technology and related environments, including cloud, databases, applications, platforms, services, etc. 

WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION 

Business setting, indoors with possibility for irregular hours and/or call back, moderate to heavy stress on a continued basis. Duties require considerable sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and lifting (in excess of 50 pounds). Extreme mental effort required with ability to assess and make decisions in abbreviated time frames. Ability to manage in a confined high stress environment. Interpersonal relationships with patient and families, physicians, hospital and potential employees, community agencies.
