POSITION SUMMARY
Prime and paint interior and exterior walls, doorways, finishes on closets, cabinets and furniture. Construct, repair, & maintain wooden structures such as furniture, equipment & partitions. Construct and complete small concrete repair projects such as sidewalks, curbs and equipment support slabs. Construct & repair sheetrock and plaster walls. Repair and or replace floor coverings such as tile and carpet. Repair and replace windows, caulk and waterproof equipment installs. Fire caulk finished construction projects to code specifications. Uses hand and power tools to support this job description according to written and oral instructions. Proper use of PPE and safety equipment is required in for every task. Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Prefer high school graduate or equivalent. Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written, oral, diagram, schedule form of blue prints. Minimum of two years documented construction experience in the above tasks. General construction journeyman preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION
Duties require considerable effort, either physical or mental (example: constant standing, walking, lifting, pulling, kneeling, bending, climbing, and crawling). Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis. Irregular conditions with the possibility of irregular schedules including weekends. Exposure to certain level of stress and subject to injury such as burns, cuts, and bruises. Considerable mental effort to organize and manage in a high stress environment. Close review of work necessary to prevent equipment damage and for safety sake.
