POSITION SUMMARY 

Performs a variety of duties to promote hospice across all servicing channels. Represents HOSG/Langdale Hospice House/Palliative Care/ Tree House within our South Georgia region to include hospitals, physicians, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, primary care clinics, and home health and sitter agencies. Key responsibilities include: leading educational outreach, developing and maintaining professional relationships representing HOSG at fairs, conferences, seminars, and community networking, reports changes or any pertinent updates regarding barriers in completive market to Executive director, manages and resolves complaints from referral sources by investigating problems and developing solutions, manages outreach community activities, serves as the liaison between community contacts and HOSG by managing and meeting referral source needs, as well as assist in the development of new referral process. The Hospice Consultant will also work in conjunction with service line managers in the development of education and outreach programs to increase knowledge, awareness, and access to HOSG services. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 

  • Minimum of three years of experience in business and or communications within the medical field, as well as planning, communications or market research. Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, business or communications preferred. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management. 
  • Proven ability to drive referrals, articulate all service lines, and develop client-focused, achievable solutions. 
  • Ability to motivate and lead to produce positive results in business development. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 
WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION 

Comfortable conditions in a day shift schedule, with exposure to considerably high stress. Occasional hours on weekends for special projects. Involves sitting, standing, stooping, lifting, bending, pushing objects (30 lbs) (i.e. carts, boxes). Considerable mental effort, must be able to organize and manage multiple tasks under rather high stress levels. Must be able to function well in front of groups and the public in general.
