SUMMARY:
The IT Revenue Cycle Analyst (Analyst) will assist in the development, support, and functionality of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and supporting IT systems. The Analyst assists in optimizing workflow processes through building applications that are tailored to meet SGMC’s needs. The Analyst will learn the EHR system’s capabilities and functional use and apply their knowledge of Hospital Revenue Cycle workflow to assist in the implementation of new features, and the support of a system that meets process needs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Epic certification or proficiency within 3 months of being hired is required.
- Two (2) years of experience supporting IT Revenue Cycle applications required.
- Healthcare IT experience in Hospital revenue cycle settings required.
- Operational experience in Hospital Revenue Cycle environment preferred.
- Ability to develop, document and ensure adherence to technical standards.
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to manage one’s own work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Must be able to maintain professionalism and react to customers appropriately while exhibiting the highest level of customer service.
WORKING CONDITIONS- ADA INFORMATION:
Business setting, indoors with possibility of irregular hours and/or call back, moderate to heavy stress on a continued basis. Duties require:
- Required to work flexible schedule in order to accommodate on-call and other responsibility including accessing system from out-of-campus to analyze/resolve system problem/halts.
- Required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays on occasions during conversion of software/operating system, or installation of enhancements/hardware, or to meet deadlines.
- Require full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity, eye and hand coordination.
- Requires standing, walking, and sitting for periods of time.
- Requires corrected vision to acceptable range.
- Requires lifting, approximately 50 pounds, transporting and installing computer equipment.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
