MATRIX CHART AUDITOR, REVENUE INTEGRITY

Location: SGMC Patient Financial Services
Department: REVENUE INTEGRITY
Schedule: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 8 am - 4:30pm

POSITION SUMMARY 

Codes and abstracts level of car for ED Coding. Captures and enters charges related to ED documentation. Reviews ED records for completeness and follows up for missed documents and incomplete documentation. Maintains a minimum 95% productivity level on primary job functions. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred with some college level training 
• Completed coursework in Anatomy and Physiology 
• Completed coursework in Medical Terminology 
• Working knowledge of E&M Level Coding 
• Ability to interpret medical record documentation to determine level of care and procedures performed 
• Effective communication skills working with physicians and other hospital staff 
• Works well with others in a team environment 
• Flexible with work scheduled and assignments 

WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION 

Approximately 70% of position is sedentary computer work. Must be able to read and recognize names, numbers and colors. Must have ability to concentrate and convert written medical terms and diagnoses to codes for billing purposes. Must be able to work alone and focus on task with limited direction
