POSITION SUMMARY


Competent in maintaining standards and procedures for installation and maintenance of LAN/WAN/WLAN devices, systems and application software’s as it applies to the organization’s network. Knowledge of OSI seven layer architecture and its application to the network environment. Demonstrates strong communication skills. Knowledgeable of Industry Standards and Best Practices for Networking, Microsoft Active Directory, Storage Networking, Virtualization, Operating Systems, Data Center Operations, and Network Security. Competent in installing, troubleshooting and maintaining networking software/drivers on network devices, computers, and servers. Able to exhibit positive interpersonal skills (customer service) as about 50% of time is spent interacting with end-users. Systems Administration duties for Enterprise IT Services systems. Provides documentation project tracking and management reporting. Provides tactical and strategic input on overall network planning and related projects. Provides technical support and guidance to users. Other job duties may include Helpdesk Support and Systems Administrator responsibilities. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 

Bachelor degree in a health care profession, management information system, or other related degree preferred. Must have at least four years computer experience with technical certification or equal experience. Must have at least 3 years network experience. Any network certification or equal experience is a plus. Must be self-motivated, detailed, deadline and service-oriented individual that can accurately set priorities. Must possess precise written and verbal communications, problem solving, organizational and technical skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION 

Business setting, indoors with possibility of irregular hours and/or call back, moderate to heavy stress on a continued basis. Duties require: 

  • Required to work flexible schedule in order to accommodate on-call and other responsibilities including accessing systems from out of campus to analyze/resolve system problems/halts. 
  • Required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays on occasions during conversions of software/operating systems, or installation of enhancements/hardware, or meeting deadlines on programming needs. 
  • Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity, eye and hand coordination. 
  • Requires corrected vision to acceptable range. 
  • Considerable sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and lifting (in excess of 50 pounds). 
  • Extreme mental effort required with ability to assess and make decisions in abbreviated time frames. RATINGS
