Schedule: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 7a-3:30p
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the complete oversite of the CT department. This includes staffing, daily work schedules, procedure schedules, equipment/equipment PM’s, supplies, and medication. The supervisor is also responsible for regulatory compliance, accreditation, radiation safety, and staff evaluations. Must have a strong knowledge of RIS/PACS to include post processing software for 3D formatting. They are responsible for working closely with Radiologist/Imaging Leadership on protocols and image quality. This position works closely with the Imaging Managers and reports to the Director of Imaging
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists in Radiography—ARRT Registered in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Radiology Technologist.
• Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of personnel at all levels within and external to organization. Ability to develop and grow a competent, caring team.
• Ability to communicate clearly with, and care for, a diverse population of patients/family units of all ages, variety of cultures, etc.
• Flexible in work schedule, assignments and work load.
• Ability to formulate memos & document clinical information, etc.
• Ability to develop, implement and interpret the policies and procedures of SGMC Health regulatory agencies’ standards and rules, reimbursement rules, etc.
• Strong clinical and leadership skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION
Duties require considerable sitting, standing, stooping bending, lifting (in excess of 50 pounds), pushing objects (wheelchairs, stretchers). Comfortable conditions, subject to irregular schedules, including weekends, exposed to high levels of stress. Work may require exposure to communicable diseases.
