POSITION SUMMARY:
The HB/PB Self-Pay Credit Specialist is responsible for resolving ALL undistributed and over posted credits. The HB/PB Self-Pay credit specialist will also analyze outstanding Account Receivables, and work queues to determine appropriateness of patient credits. Upon determination of a true credit, the HB/PB Self-Pay Credit Specialist is required to transfer, disperse, or request refund for the outstanding credit. This representative may conduct phone counseling with patients and family members in the business office in regards to their outstanding credits. They facilitate communication and resolution on the patient’s behalf with the appropriate members of the business office and other associates throughout the organization. Daily review of outstanding request for inquiry from other departments.

WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION
Modern, well lighted, air conditioned, general work area. Moderate noise level. Normal business setting with moderate to high stress in accomplishing daily responsibilities. Subject to irregular schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Occasional overtime required. Ability to sit, stand or walk for moderate periods. Safe and efficient operation of office equipment including: copier, fax, printers, computer, telephone and adding machine. Reading of printed materials, including physician orders. Listening and verbally responding to customers, staff, physicians and visitors. Moderately heavy lifting {0-25 lbs.}, reaching, stooping, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting. RATINGS
