Family Medicine - Continuity Clinic Preceptor. Graduate Medical Education Teaching Opportunity

We are pleased to offer a unique faculty opportunity for a board-certified Family Medicine physician to serve as a teaching preceptor for our Family Medicine Residency Program’s continuity clinic. This position is ideal for a physician passionate about medical education, mentorship, and outpatient primary care.

Position Overview

• Full-time, Monday – Thursday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM,

• Friday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• No call responsibilities

• Hospital-employed faculty role within SGMC Health’s Graduate Medical Education (GME) clinic

• Serve as a clinical preceptor, supervising and mentoring Family Medicine residents in their continuity clinic

• Guide residents in evidence-based patient care, professional development, and practice management

• Work in a collaborative, team-based academic environment with opportunities for scholarly activities

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Internal Medicine

• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Georgia

• A strong interest in teaching and mentoring residents in an academic clinical setting

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and referring physicians

• Passionate about quality improvement, evidence-based medicine, and resident education

• EPIC electronic medical record experience is a plus

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a commitment to fostering a positive and innovative learning environment
